Balance Functional Chocolate is 100% clean and pure and contains only five ingredients (all certified organic):
Cacao mass (single origin and directly-traded), coconut sugar, cacao butter, Reishi mushroom extract and Ashwagandha root extract.
What you'll never find in JOYÀ chocolate: emulsifiers, lecithin, soy, dairy, refined sugar, gums, wax or any other junk.

Balance Functional Chocolate is crafted with two of the most prized adaptogens to help find balance and calm during the most demanding of days, making it the perfect snack or treat any time of day for stress + immune support.
How much caffeine is in Balance Functional Chocolate?
Balance Functional Chocolate contains 29.9 mg of caffeine per serving, naturally derived from the cacao.
Is Balance Chocolate free of dairy, soy, gluten and other common allergens?
Balance Functional Chocolate is considered vegan and does not contain nuts, sesame, gluten, wheat, soy (or soy lecithin) or dairy. However, it is made on shared equipment in a facility that is not free of certain of the foregoing allergens, so there is a risk of cross-contamination, which is why our chocolates are labeled “May contain tree nuts, milk, wheat, eggs”. We do not test our finished products for allergens and can not make any claims.
Balance contains coconut sugar.
Is it Paleo or Keto-friendly?
Since our Balance Functional Chocolate contains no refined/cane sugar and is sweetened only with coconut sugar, it is paleo-friendly.
Balance is not technically keto-friendly, as under accepted industry guidelines, a snack must have 6 or less grams of net carbohydrates (total carbohydrates minus fiber) per serving to be consideredd a keto-friendlgy snack. However, Balance could be appropriate for a ketogenic diet if appropriately managed into your carbohydrate intake from other foods throughout the day.
Is it organic?
Our Balance Functional Chocolate is not certified organic. However, it is made with 100% certified organic ingredients.
Balance is certified non-GMO.

Each bar of Balance Functional Chocolate contains 8 g of sugar.
Is your chocolate high in heavy metals?
We take safety just as seriously as we do flavor. And, as cacao is unfortunately often high in heavy metals, including lead and cadmium, we scoured the planet, reviewed dozens of cacao origins, and ran numerous rounds of tasting before we found a certified organic cacao that's safe to consume for our Functional Chocolates (we're currently using a Dominican Republic cacao).
And it doesn't stop at sourcing. All of our products are also 3rd party lab tested for heavy metals, as well as other toxins and microbes, so that you can be confident in their purity and safety.
